Things to Do Around Las Olas and the Riverwalk
Top-rated tours and tickets, grouped by the five parts of the neighborhood.
We have divided the neighborhood into five areas, from west to east: the Arts and Entertainment District around the Broward Center, historic Fort Lauderdale beside the Stranahan House, the Riverwalk and the New River, the shopping blocks of Las Olas Boulevard and the beach where Las Olas meets the ocean. The first four are within a twenty-minute walk of each other. The beach is a short drive, bus or boat ride away.
Boat tours are the signature activity here, from the old Jungle Queen riverboat to small sunset cruises past the homes of the Las Olas Isles. Book evening cruises and food tours a few days ahead in winter and spring, and keep beach and kayak plans for the morning in summer, when afternoon thunderstorms are common.
